Helen Carlisle, UK: "I tried a Fal rug on my horse Jake (a Clydesdale x Highland) as none of the other makes of rugs fitted him. They seemed to slip back, rub his shoulders and pinch his withers and 'tented' over his very ample hindquarters. The other rugs were not as deep as the Fal rugs either and the Fal rugs are lined with nylon, which reduces rubbing. The first Fal was a Warrior rug, which we have used almost constantly for 2 winters and still looks as good as new - despite Jake frequently and thoroughly testing it in the hawthorn hedge. 7'3" Fal rugs fit him the best across the chest, withers, hindquarters and they are nice and deep too. Fal rugs stay put after Jake has rolled and vigorously shaken himself afterwards. I also like the Fal rugs as they are very warm too. Jake's Warrior is a 40 gm and he is happy wearing this in the Scottish winter whilst clipped without being too hot or too cold - I think if he had a heavier weight he would melt! We have now acquired 2 more Fal rugs; a stable rug 40 gm and a very unusual striped rug 40 g, and we are very happy with both. Jake and I like Fal rugs because they fit extremely well, are hard wearing, warm, durable, stay put and are made in Britain.
