remarkable rug incorporates X-Static®, the silver
textile fibre permanently woven into the enormously
effective design of the FAL Pro sweet itch fly
sheet. While the cut and design of this rug acts to
provide maximum coverage and therefore protection
from the sun’s rays and biting insects, the Silver
Interactive layer offers the additional natural
therapeutic benefits of Silver. This Silver
technology has been shown to repel microbial and
fungal infections, promote effective circulation and
healing and reduce allergic reactions in sensitive
horses, making this the perfect rug for summer time
protection. Silver also cools the horse by
conducting heat away.
A ‘Flexi Neck’ design
has now been incorporated that allows the neck to
move independently from the body of the rug and
means that the rug will remain still on your horse’s
back, even while his neck stretches to graze. A new
double thickness nylon built into the neck of the
rug is designed to prevent the neck cover slipping
down, without having to be held in place by a fly
mask or headcollar.
This is the only sweet itch
rug available to actively combat the symptoms of
sweet itch.

sorry that my horse has grown out of it !! The
fabric is tough and breathable but does not let the
midges in !! I washed in a machine with no ill
effects. The horse did not rub his mane and tail at
all and after 6 months, the hair has all grown back.
It's a great rug for long term use , say if a horse
is permanantly turned out in the summer months."
